Sukritha is a Production Designer for film and television and a Scenic Designer for theatre. Originally from India and raised in Dubai, her multicultural background shaped a strong interest in storytelling through space, atmosphere, and visual world-building. She holds an MFA in Design & Technology with a focus in Scenic and Production Design from San Diego State University, along with a background in Interior Design that continues to influence her approach to spatial composition, texture, materiality, and environmental storytelling. Her exposure to different architectural styles and cultural environments has shaped a design practice that balances both creative and technical approaches to storytelling.
Her work spans theatre, film, and live events, including productions at SDSU Main Stage, The Old Globe, Cygnet Theatre, and independent short films. She has also worked on event and production design projects in India and Dubai, including collaborations with Indian film art directors and large-scale event productions.
Influenced by K-pop, live performance, cinema, and global visual culture, Sukritha is drawn to immersive and expressive environments where music, movement, and storytelling come together. She is especially interested in concept development, visual research, drafting, rendering, scenic painting, and physically bringing designs to life through construction and execution. Her long-term goal is to design large-scale sets for K-pop music videos and performance-based media, creating visual worlds that enhance emotion, atmosphere, and performance.
